There are a few good options for parking near the trailhead. Parking is not free and you should avoid parking on public roads due to the high volume of traffic. Most parking lots charge around $4,000 pesos per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping Los Pozones <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The owner Claudio, born and raised in Cocham\u00f3, was the first gentleman to welcome people visiting the valley. His property is the main parking lot. His friendly, helpful nature and spacious area make it a good place to leave your vehicle. It is only a minute from the Visitor's Center where you must check in before going up to La Junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping El Laurel <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another local campground and parking area. Located just before Los Pozones, it offers a slightly more secluded feel to the rest. Good place to combine camping and parking next to the La Junta trailhead. Also just minutes from the Visitor Center. <\/p>\n\n\n

La Frontera Hostal & Eco Camping <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is about 2 kilometers from the trailhead, but if you need a place to stay combined with proximity to the trailhead, this is a great option.<\/p>\n\n\n
