From the Refugio Cochamó’s (bed & breakfast) centric location, visitors, hikers and climbers can take in excellent views of the surrounding valley – granite walls, waterfalls, rivers and amazing forest – making it an ideal base to venture off from to hike, climb, spend a beach day at the river and fish.

The Refugio offers comfortable private rooms and a large shared bunk room. They all have breath-taking views of the granite walls of Cerro La Junta and Trinidad. The bathrooms are shared.

Your guides will have all your homemade meals prepared daily. The meals and services of the Refugio are only for guests.

Southern Trips and Mahuida Patagonia manage the Refugio Cochamó's operation. They are the local Sandoval family ─ Tatiana, Favian, Miguel, Matías, Pelluco, Nana and Caro. They will organize and guide your trip and stay in the valley and other sectors of the mountain range. It will include trips hikes into the granite valleys, meals, horses, knowledge of the history and other logistics. The Refu's caretakers ─ Mono, Juan, Nina, Silvina, Zen and Daniel ─ built the refuge, take care of the vegetable garden, administer the camping and help maintain the refugio for your visit.
